I want to tell you was premiered by
violin and cello duo Zoe Conway and Ailbhe McDonagh in the Spirit Store in
Dundalk in 2013 as part of the launch of the Aftermath project.
Aftermath uses discussion and creative, artistic approaches to story-telling
and life stories to highlight the issues and needs of victims, survivors and
displaced families effected by conflict. Filmmaker and Aftermath director
Laurence McKeown and commissioned artist Anthony Haughey have produced a major
touring exhibition of photography, film, music and audio. The exhibition
opened in the County Museum Dundalk and then toured to the Gallery of
Photography Dublin, Hollywood Arts centre Newry and Belfast Exposed. The
music piece consists of a series of instrumental duos accompanying a
pre-recorded voice track of victims, survivors and displaced families effected
by conflict (www.aftermath-ireland.com/music-compositions)
